The Sydney rain sadly hasn’t gone for good, so here’s how to keep pesky mould from forming in your home

During a wet season like Sydney has been experiencing lately, it’s easy for mould to develop in our homes.

Here are some tips on how you can prevent mould from growing inside your property:

▪️ Avoid drying clothes on internal clothes horses. Always dry them outside or in a wet area that has the door closed and the window open.

▪️ Turn on fans if you have them. Bathroom and ceiling fans help circulate air and lower humidity.

▪️ When possible, keep your windows open during the day to air your property out. In addition, balcony doors can also be opened to allow cross-flow ventilation.

▪️ If you have gas heating, try to keep the temperature in your property constant. Sudden changes in temperature can cause walls to sweat. Keep your heater on a low setting or start at a lower temp first and slowly heat the property up.

Stay dry, Sydney!
